Annual dark green pubescent plant height from 5 to 30 cm, with filiform roots. Stems prostrate or ascending, slender, simple or branched. Leaves round-ovate, crenate edges serrated or toothed, with short petioles. The flowers are arranged singly in the axils of leaves on long stalks, leaves almost equal, with fruits arcuately bent. Calyx with four ovate or almost spatulate lobes, with fruits divergent. Corolla blue or dark blue, with a diameter of 3-4 mm, with four blades, slightly higher than the cup. Fruit – a box with a kidney-shaped blunt wide notch and two rounded lobes keeled, with a dense network of veins. Wrinkled seeds, ribbed, concave saucer. Blooms from spring to fall – from April to September, the fruit ripens in May oktyabre.Areal plant is within Europe. In our country grows in several regions of the European part. In Central Russia is found in non-chernozem zone, mainly in the north and west, and in the northern regions Chernozem.

Probably, in all regions of Central Russia in the fields, gardens, orchards occasionally meets the Euro-Mediterranean species – Veronica Tillage. It is an annual plant height of 5-30 cm with ascending or prostrate stems rooting, often reddish, much branched from the base. The leaves are opposite, oblong-ovate, coarsely crenate or edges, somewhat fleshy. The flowers are on long stalks in the axils of the leaves on one or a few. Corolla light blue with whitish lower lobes, rarely white or pale pink, with a diameter of 6-8 mm. Fruit – rounded box. It flowers from April to September, the fruit ripens in May and October.
