Spreading shrub up to 2 m in height. Old branches gray, young red-brown. Elliptical or prodolgovatoyaytsevidnye leaves with short petioles, pubescent, margin serrate-toothed, bright green above, pale green below. It flowers in May – June. Flowers are formed on young short leafy twigs in the axils of leaves 1-3. Tubular-campanulate corolla to 4.5 cm long, bright pink and purple, inside, in the expanded part of the tube with a yellow spot. Fruit – woody cylindrical capsule to 2.5 cm long with very small seeds. The fruits ripen in August – September.
It grows on rocky slopes and rocky forest edges. Prevalent in southern Primorye, North Korea, Kitae.Zasluzhivaet widely in horticulture.
Direct branched shrub up to 1.5 m branches are covered with thin gray bark Lushchan. Sessile, elliptical or prodolgovatoyaytsevidnye, bright-green, up to 9 cm long and 4 cm wide. In June – July on long leafy branches blooming flowers, arranged singly or in groups of 2-6 on a common peduncle. Sulfur-yellow corolla 4.5 cm length is expanding campanulate tube with orange dots on the lower lobes. Fruit-boxes ripen in August – September.
Prevalent in the Far East, Sakhalin, Primorye, the southern Kuril Islands, Japan, and China. It grows in the undergrowth of coniferous and deciduous forests, thickets of cedar.
Very decorative and pretty winter-hardy.
