Perennial herb 20-60 cm tall, with a long creeping rhizome, whitish from dense silky pubescence. Stem erect or ascending, spreading branching. The leaves are alternate, twice pinnate. Baskets ovate, long-stalked, broadly general paniculate inflorescence. Corolla densely hairy at the top. Fruits — flat oblong achene. Flowers in July and August, achenes ripen in August and September.
