British tourist who miraculously survived after falling from a hotel balcony in Thailand, from a height of seven meters, flew home with his own skull in hand luggage. 32-year-old Lee Chari broke left side of the skull when he fell from a balcony on the island of Koh Tao in December last year.
Hotel staff found Lee lying unconscious on the ground. The man was immediately taken to a local hospital and then to a hospital in the neighboring island of Koh Samui. Doctors managed to resuscitate the man, who for two days showed no signs of life. Doctors were forced to remove Lee quarter broken skull to his brain has a place and opportunity for recovery.
Lee was brought to Britain two weeks after doctors gave him the missing piece of the head in the box. In flight, the victim was accompanied by a Thai doctor who took care of the sick during the flight.
