12 October 2010, about one o’clock the Orenburg felt seismic activity. All day in the office was called concerned citizens.
Residents of the Central part of the Orenburg felt a strong cotton, the vibration of the glass on the upper floors in high-rise buildings. In the Research center of Geoecology we explained causes small earthquakes. On the Richter scale, such seismic activity is estimated about 2, 5 balls. These stimuli were recorded and the first of October in the valley of the Ural river between the settlements of the lower Pavlovka and Dubrovka. Yesterday the situation was repeated, but the epicenter is still unknown.
Back in 97 year Orenburg region was included in the list of seismically hazardous areas. In our area oscillations can reach 7-point values on the Richter scale . This can cause damage to buildings, experts say.
