At 68 kilometers from the village of Sloboda on the right bank of the river Chusovoi can see what is left of the Village with a patriotic name Homeland. And from it there was nothing left but a huge field
This large and beautiful meadow separates from the river a small forest belt.
Meanwhile, the village dates back to the beginning of the XVII century (according to other sources at the beginning of the XVIII century). However, the name of the settlement did not emerge from the word homeland, fatherland, and the first settlers from the nickname of Rodia, Rodin. The village was pretty much up to 60 houses. In 1899, its population was 145 people.
Near the iron mine was old-Shaitansky Demidov factory (now the village Chusova).
In the 1960s, this village, alas, has ceased to exist.
In a clearing near the birches grew up you can see a lone metal monument. All that remains of the village cemetery.
The inscription is almost worn off. You can make out only the name Volegov (or Volegova?).
In 1912, the village has photographed famous photographer SM Prokudin-Gorsky. Only in this unique color pictures can be judged as looked village.

The area on which the flowing river, rich in refractory clay. In the valley of the river you can find a career in which the clay was mined and exported to many factories in the Urals. Also on the river Pesteriha iron ore was extracted. Somewhere in this area there are signs of coal.
