The earthquake that occurred 70 km from the second largest city in Taiwan, Kaohsiung, has led to disruptions in the movement of trains on the local subway and suspension of high-speed rail link between the southern and northern parts of the island. On this March 4 reports AFP.

Tremors of magnitude 6.4 was recorded early Thursday morning local time. Center of the earthquake was at a depth of 35 kilometers, but the tremors were felt in many parts of the island, including the capital, Taipei.
