The personal first-aid kit of any tourist must contain the following means:

  • from diarrhea and food poisoning;

  • low temperature pills;

  • for the treatment of injuries with you, you should always have a bandage, patch, iodine, brilliant green, hydrogen peroxide or other antiseptic;
  • if a person suffers from any chronic diseases, then he is obliged to take with him the means of individual treatment in case of exacerbation of the disease.

Just in case, it would not hurt to put a passport or any other ID in the backpack. Depending on your personal needs and preferences, you can take a flashlight, matches or a lighter, needles, threads, a bottle or flask for water, a remedy for mosquitoes and other insects. Do not forget about personal care products (toothbrush, toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant, etc.).

For comfortable cooking and eating in the wilderness, you need to take some amount of cooking utensils with you. But not everyone understands what kind of dishes suitable for the campaign, and which will be just an extra burden. First, do not need to take ceramic plates and other fragile household items. Secondly, the campaign can not do without mugs, knives, spoons and bowls. Spoons made of aluminum are best suited – they are light and reusable. The knife must be hidden in the case to prevent injury to the tourist or damage to the backpack. It is desirable that the mug was made from food grade plastic. Such a material not only weighs little, but also heats up poorly compared to metal containers. The best solution would be to take an aluminum deep bowl. For the whole group of tourists should be at least 1 large, deep bowl and an aluminum soup ladle. For a company of 4-5 people, it will be enough to take 1 pot of 5-7 l. If there are more people, you need to have at least 2 boilers with a capacity of 7 liters or more. If desired, and the availability of free space, you can still take 1 pan medium size.

What food should I take?

The hike will not be successful if you take with them not enough food. So all the remaining free space in the backpack should be filled with canned food, cereals, dried fruit, dried meat, as well as sweets. All typed food must combine the following qualities:

  • high calorie;
  • long term storage;
  • low weight

No need to be zealous and fill a full backpack of canned food. Although they are good in the campaign, but tin cans weigh too much. 2 banks per person will be enough. A wonderful soup made from cured meat and a handful of dried vegetables can be prepared over the campfire. In stores, you can buy a ready-made soup mixture, which is simply enough to pour boiling water. Do not forget about salt, pepper and other spices. They can take with you quite a bit to make dinner in the fresh air even tastier.

From sweets to the hike is good to take candy or chocolate. High concentration of sugar in them will fill the body with a large number of calories, which are necessary for active recreation. Condensed milk and nuts are also an ideal type of camping dessert, as they have the qualities listed above. And do not forget about tea, without which you can not do in any journey.
