Camping kettle Fire-Maple Feast T4 and camping kettle Fire-Maple FMC-212S as camping set overview.
The 1.5-liter Fire-Maple Feast T4 Camping Kettle is made of anodized aluminum. The total dimensions of 153×115 mm, weight – 236 grams. The kettle comes with a convenient mesh nylon cover for storing and carrying it. The Camp Fire-Maple FMC-212S cooking pot with a 1.8-liter lid is also made of anodized aluminum. It has dimensions 170×100 mm, weight – 225 grams. It comes with the same cover as the kettle, only a few larger ones.
Both items were purchased separately, first a bowler hat, and only then, when the kettle needed such a need. Moreover, the teapot was selected in size so that it could fit inside the Fire-Maple pot, since even then the idea arose to complete a camping set of dishes that would satisfy all urgent needs. That pot, that kettle, was originally intended for use on a gas burner fire.
At one point, while laying the set, a folding X-Bowl plate from Sea To Summit was nearby, and its dimensions suggested that the possibilities of this camping set of dishes could be significantly expanded if this plate was also put there. She did not take up a lot of space inside the pot and did not deliver any inconvenience there, the total volume and weight of the kit increased slightly, but the possibilities expanded.
In the stowed position, the set of dishes is packed in one mesh nylon cover from the Fire-Maple FMC-212S, as it is more spacious. The lid from the pot rests on top of the whole structure and is pressed by the tightening of the cover. The total weight of the set is a little more than 500 grams. For practicality and to save space, bags of tea, coffee and sugar are additionally placed inside the Fire-Maple Feast T4 kettle.
Impressions after using the Fire-Maple Feast T4 kettle and the Fire-Maple kettle FMC-212S as a set of camping dishes.
This homemade set of camping dishes has already been tested in practice and has shown its full suitability for use in the field. The volume of the Fire-Maple pot FMC-212S allows you to cook soup or cook porridge for two people, and in case of emergency, three, but then the serving sizes will be slightly reduced, since when cooking the useful volume of the pot is only 1.5 liters.
One and a half liters of water from the Fire-Maple Feast T4 kettle is more than enough to meet the needs for boiling water for three people. The water in it boils much faster. When compared with a regular pot of a similar volume. And pouring boiling water itself is much more convenient than from an open pot. In addition, the volume of the kettle with a decent supply is enough to boil water at a time for brewing tea or infusion in a liter bottle of Nalgene and even separately in a mug.
Field operation of the kit showed some flaws in its configuration, for example, it sometimes lacks a spoon and a cup to make it completely self-sufficient. Therefore, in the near future it will be understaffed with some sort of folding spoon and cup. Like Sea To Summit X-Cup or Fold-A-Cup from Wildo. Both items will be stored inside the kettle..
