Orientation on the moon using an analog clock is based on a preliminary determination of the time of sun rise in the direction where the moon is. To navigate, you need to do the following:

To make it easier to learn «young» Moon or «the old», it is possible to remember that with the growing Moon its right side is visible, and with a decreasing – left side of the disk. The result is another number.
