For fishing with nets in ponds with very strong currents, also lifts, called “parachutes”, are used. Such spiders touch the bottom with one edge, standing at an angle. The “parachute” from the usual spider is distinguished by a large slack in the web, and a design resembling a large landing net. The frame of this gear consists of a large-diameter hoop (2-2.5 meters), made of metal bar or rebar. A thick rope is fastened to it, consisting of four lines of different lengths, so that the angle of inclination of the structure is 45 degrees. The network is made of a thin cord with cells ranging in size from 50 to 90 mm. “Parachute” is used for catching large fish, so its weight is quite large. Not only fish that fall downstream, but also rising, for example, like salmon, are caught in a trap. The place for fishing on the “parachute” is usually chosen bridges, under which the current is the strongest. In this case, one end of the rope holds the tackle in the pond, and the second is tied around the railing of the bridge so as not to miss it.

An easy-to-make spider for fishing with your own hands is the so-called “cradle”. Instead of a kapron or canvas from a fishing line, a metal mesh with cells from 5 to 20 mm in size from 0.5 x 0.5 m to 1.5 x 1.5 meters is used. Large dimensions are too heavy to lift. For the manufacture of mesh is best to use galvanized wire. It bends slightly, fastened by four corners to the bindings, which are tied together and attached to the rope. Catching on the “cradle” is made as a regular spider or by throwing and pulling out of the water at an angle of 45 degrees.
