In addition, the knife itself, when it is not in the scabbard, has nothing to hang, for example on a tree branch or a knot, although the need for this occurs periodically.

Some have too licked a butt that is not able to carve sparks from a flint and you have to do it with a cutting edge, which dulls it. And with some knives, the high-temperature sparks of the flint simply burn out the steel on the blade or butt.
Fin has it all right. The sharp edges of the butt allow you to protect the cutting edge from unnecessary stress and damage, easily remove the chips of the magnet bar and extract a quite acceptable sheaf of sparks from the flint rod. In general, with the exception of those design flaws that are indicated above, an excellent field-working knife is a hard worker. But on picnics, Fin’s knife is unlikely to be the most popular knife, the blade is still short and too thick for comfortable work on some products, for example, when cutting various salads.
