Criminal dangers in long-distance trains and commuter trains, theft in trains and stations.

Favorite place for thieves to work on long-distance trains. People traveling on trains carry a lot of money with them, and shuttles are just so big. The scatter of complaints of robbed passengers can be spread from Vladivostok to Kharkov. What makes it difficult to capture a thief.

Criminal dangers in long-distance trains and commuter trains, theft in trains and stations.

Therefore, it is easier for passengers on long-distance trains to rely on themselves than on a distant Kharkov policeman. Moreover, the thief’s accomplice will not have to be searched for a long time. The second after the thief, the perpetrator of the losses caused is the passenger himself. It is he who directs the thief to his wealth. For example, by the fact that every half hour with a preoccupied look he checks the integrity of the treasured suitcase in his luggage, than directly points to the robbers. Or talks about his profitable work in the goldfields and the habit of not denying anything to himself on vacation, where he goes.

Well, how can such a bouncer not check his pockets for gold nuggets? Or, paying for kefir, pulls money from a secret pocket, which soon for that reason and loses along with all the cash. Secret pocket for secret amounts, not for kefir stuff. Finally, barely getting into the carriage, he begins to actively relax, revealing a diplomat full of strong drinks. And by the way, according to police reports, two-thirds of robberies and thefts on trains happen to passengers while intoxicated. Some good neighbors solder some of them, sometimes adding a drop of other narcotic, psychotropic, or other substances paralyzing the victim.

Do not have the habit of drinking on trains with unfamiliar compartment neighbors, and if you drink, only your own alcohol from your dishes, and do not get distracted from that process by extraneous matters, so that you do not accidentally add something there. For the same purpose, saving savings is not worth playing cards with interest to unfamiliar fellow travelers. Just like that or as many as you want, but God forbid the money. The carriage compartment is a favorite place for cheaters. Do not expect that you will stop during the game. The players on the trains are good psychologists, and stop the game no sooner than you stay in the back.

In general, the tactics of preserving property on trains comes down to the old adage: put away take a closer look. From the point of view of preventing theft, the compartment is safer than reserved seats, as the number of people with access to them is limited, and the door protects your belongings from casual passers-by. Therefore, having significant values with you, it is better, without saving on trifles, to choose docked wagons for travel. Except for cases of transportation of big money.

Because big money is easier to carry in a reserved seat car, where it is imperceptibly impossible to attack you. In a compartment, they can rob you in a quiet way. Especially if this is a crime prepared in advance and your neighbors were in the compartment for a reason. In a reserved seat car, the most preferred place for valuables is in lockable lockers on the lower shelves. At the same time, it is better to hide money and documents in the most bulky and heavy bags and suitcases, and not, as passengers often do, in compact handbags and briefcases, which, having opened the shelf for a moment, are much easier to remove.

It is best to store money and documents on the body in handbags specially made for this purpose, fastened with secret pockets. Zipped up, because a friend of mine, visiting the train toilet, managed to change clothes and leave all his savings there. Passengers of the upper shelves can put small bags under their heads, unless, of course, they sleep with their feet to the aisle. Expensive clothing is better, flattened, put on top of luggage in lockers. Push lightweight suitcases and bags standing on the upper luggage racks with more bulky things.

If you are distinguished by a sound sleep, set an additional alarm: put a few empty bottles, cans on top of your luggage, which, if you disturb them, touching things, will rattle. Before leaving for a trip, you can make a primitive signaling device from several batteries, a low-voltage bell and a button. Only the button should be the reverse action, that is, to close the circuit not when it is pressed, but when lowered. Such a button, for example, can be a regular, preferably not tight clothespin.

Thieves also love to train at train stations. They may volunteer to watch your suitcase while you run to the information desk or the toilet, and their eyes will be honest, like the English count in the twelfth generation. They can complicate the mise-en-scenes and first leave their things under your supervision, and then offer a similar service to you. Well, how to suspect the double-dealing of a man who has just entrusted you with his luxurious suitcase? I am ashamed! Confidence must be answered with trust and your suitcase.

Qualified thieves can, having previously set the handles of the automatic left-luggage office to zero, by the clicks of the encryption mechanism, they can recognize the code and, after you leave, clear the cell. Or, before having examined the contents of your suitcase (again your negligence), ask them to open the cell whose code they forgot, describing in detail what is in the suitcase. And in all these cases you, or rather, your carelessness, gullibility, modesty (well, it’s impossible to offend with suspicion such a cultural and courteous person!) Play into the hands of criminals.

Speaking of hooligan actions, I recommend that no matter what happens, avoid going out with opponents into the vestibule. All clarification of the relationship is best done in the car itself, where passengers and a guide can help you. From the vestibule there is a direct path from a train running at full speed with its forehead to a column or under the wheels of an oncoming train. With such falls, units survive. Therefore, even the lightest vestibule scuffle is often equal to murder. Leave the vestibule on trains immediately for any criminal tension.

Criminal hazards in commuter trains.

Suburban trains are especially dangerous in this regard. In the evening and in semi-empty trains, first of all, evaluate the car you entered in terms of safety. Are there any potentially dangerous passengers? There, for example, a company? Of the five cheerful and generally benevolent young guys. But guys. Then better come on in. Where more than two males under the age of thirty gather, there always are some adventures. Well, well, not always. But you need to consider that always.

Let’s go to the next car. Three heavily drunk men of moderate danger. Enemies have decided. Now look for the defenders. There are two strong-looking men. You can count on them, if what? Perhaps. Total three against three. If you consider yourself. But it’s better not to consider yourself. Then three against two. Let’s move on. Two funny, but not very strong guys. Four-looking family peasants. Five women. A clear numerical advantage. And plus two emergency contact panels with the driver. Here, perhaps, you can stay.

That’s about how you need to choose your place. And not where it is warmer! If there are no wagons suitable for the alignment, go all the way to the head one. In night electric trains, people are usually concentrated there. And to the drivers who have a connection with the mainland at hand. There is their door. In any case, try to sit closer to the control panel with the drivers (it is usually marked in yellow) or, if there is none, near the stop of the crane. In an extreme case, in order to draw attention to your plight, you can disrupt it.

A slight panic will begin in the train, the drivers will come to clean up, you see, the robbers will lag behind. In the carriages where the drunken company is having fun, and even more so quarreling, it is better not to linger, and when passing by, not to express your attitude to what is happening. Be outwardly deafblind, indifferent, and self-absorbed. And in this state, leave the battlefield as quickly as possible. It is better to pass tambours in trains without stopping, not stopping at requests to give a light.

Demonstrate valuable things and rich decorations to passengers of night electric trains. It’s better to hide them. Jewelry deeper into the pockets. Big things can be wrapped in a removed cloak. Shouting to the friend’s ear that the car was lucky today, he was unlucky today: he didn’t have time to hand over a lemon and a half of cash to the bank, now it’s very dangerous to take them home. Especially if these one and a half million will not be found with you later. If in the night electric train you are attached to suspicious types who were about to leave at your station, look for fellow travelers who are in the same direction as you.

Did not find drive to the next stop. Better to lengthen your path for a couple of hours than to be at an empty station in a dangerous company. Getting out of the train is better through the first door of the first car. Go forward a bit to see the cab and quickly look around. If you didn’t like something, you have the opportunity to jump back or ask the drivers for help. Concerning potentially dangerous stations and the territories adjacent to them, the only advice is not to provoke the attack of predators of the criminal world with your confused, simple-hearted or defiantly prosperous appearance. Do not try to search for secluded corners for relaxation or private conversations, stay in public.
