It is known that, in preparation for a hiking trip, fishermen try to minimize the weight of their equipment. And if fishing is planned for 2-3 days, for example, for the weekend? Then, the tent can be equipped with an ordinary rubber inflatable boat.
Homemade tent and keel for an inflatable boat, materials, manufacturing and installation.
To do this, a textile fastener is glued around the perimeter of the inflatable boat with waterproof glue, which can be purchased on the market or in any store selling sewing accessories. The top of the tent is cut out of a thick plastic film. The perimeter of the top should be 20-30 cm larger than the perimeter of the boat. The moment adhesive is glued to the film with “Moment” adhesive.
To prevent rainwater from accumulating on the film surface, spacers must be inserted. But spacers prepared in advance or cut out of rods directly near the place of spending the night can pierce either cellophane or a boat. To prevent this from happening, strips of rubberized fabric are glued from the inside of the film, one from the side of the bow of the inflatable boat, the other from the stern. Do the same on the bottom of the boat.
Preparing the bedside is simple. You need to take the spacer bars and pull the film on them, after removing the seats. The tent is ready. It perfectly keeps heat and protects against mosquitoes. In such an improvised tent, you can spend the night even when the temperature drops below 0 degrees – dense cellophane holds the temperature perfectly. But in this case, it is advisable to first warm up the overnight place with a bonfire, then, having cleared it of coal (so as not to burn the bottom of the inflatable boat), set up the assembled tent boat on it.
Homemade keel for an inflatable boat.
When spinning from an inflatable boat, many spinningists experience a certain inconvenience – at the moment the abandonment rotates. To avoid this, it is enough to equip it with a simple keel. Of course, even an inflatable boat equipped with the keel described below will not stand rooted to the spot, but its mobility will noticeably decrease.
Such a keel consists of three parts – a nylon cord, a piece of cloth and a metal bar. From the tarpaulin we cut out a right triangle. One leg should be about 0.5 meters long (keel immersion depth), the other – a little shorter than your boat.
Then, a cord must be sewn into the long leg (its length should be enough to secure the keel on the bow and stern), and the hypotenuse should be sewn so that a rod of any stainless material can freely enter the formed narrow and long pocket. The bar can be made collapsible, which will simplify its transportation. If there are no loops for attaching the rope at the stern of your boat, they must be glued additionally. When installing the keel on a boat, it is not necessary to pull the rope strongly.
