Zherlitsa is a homemade fishing tackle used mainly for pike fishing. Other predators are rarely caught on it. The home-made zerglia is a flyer similar to a children’s slingshot with a fishing line wound around it with a hook on a leash.

A flyer can be made from shoots of some soft tree: birch, linden, willow, etc. It should not be large in size. Its optimum length is 12-15 cm. If the zergelya made of izobreza or linden does not peel off the bark, it will be less noticeable in water. The ends of the horns of the flyer need to be split with a knife or sawed with a jigsaw to a depth of 1-1.5 cm, and a through hole should be drilled at the upper end (in the handle of the fork).
Through this hole, the upper end of the fishing line is passed and tied with a deaf knot. Thenlesca (its length should not exceed 15 meters) is carefully wound on both arms of the fork with a figure eight. The winding should be even (loop to loop), without overlaps. The lower end of a fishing line wound on a flyer is clamped into the cleavage of one of the horns. After that, a limiter pellet is placed on it, the load and with the help of a carabiner a metal leash with a hook is attached to the fishing line.
The fishing line on the vent is set quite solid, with a diameter of at least 0.4-0.5 mm. The load is sliding, depending on the size of the bait, so that the bait fish does not raise it to the surface of the water, but also is not very constrained in movement. But the leash is necessarily metal, since it is usually caught not by one, but by five or seven girders and not always in time with a hook.
Homemade zherlitsa for catching predatory fish in winter, device, manufacturing method.
Carnivorous fish are caught at the zergilza not only in summer but also in winter. The winter version of the lantern can also be made at home. In a typical winter zergel, the fishing line is wound around a freely rotating foam spool with a diameter of 50 and a thickness of 10 mm. The coil is mounted on a foam base with a diameter of 150-160 and a thickness of 20 mm.
A spring (for example, from a cap) 300-350 mm long is attached to the base with a screw coated with epoxy resin. A red flag is fixed at the end of the spring. A hole with a diameter of 4-5 mm should be drilled in the center of the base of the vent; A jigsaw or a knife for metal along the radius of the base needs to be cut for the fishing line plant.
The base of the gate can be placed directly on the hole and sprinkled with snow. The hole in this case does not freeze. The bite is determined by the flag thrown by the spring.
Simple and compact home-made zerglia with a base from a bowl or plate.
You can craft a simple and compact zerglas by adapting a plastic bowl or a plate from a set of tourist dishes as a base. In the bottom of the bowl, you need to cut a hole so that the coil passes into it. The axis of the coil is fixed in the incisions made at the junction of the bottom and the walls of the bowl.
The flag is mounted on a 1 mm thick steel wire. The lower end of the wire is bent and inserted into an axis made of a tube with a diameter of 4-6 mm. The bowl from the bowl also protects the well from freezing.

And here is another version of the winter lantern, which is commonly called “somersault”. In contrast to the above options for this homemade gear, such a ventilator is not round, but rectangular.
From a wooden board with a thickness of 20 mm it is necessary to cut a reel with a length of 200-250 and a width of 40 mm. The top side should be flat, the bottom should be semicircular. The underside is usually painted red.
Recesses should be made with a round file at the ends, and a groove for laying fishing line on the bottom side. In the middle with a jigsaw – a slot for securing the fishing line. The equipment is the same as usual when fishing for live bait: a sinker, a leash and a hook, a single or a tee.
Having measured the necessary descent, the fishing line is fixed in the slot and thrown over the reel to the other side, they put a “somersault” across the hole. When biting, the vent will turn upside down with the red side. Since the fishing line is fixed firmly and does not get caught, the fish usually self-cuts without deeply swallowing the bait fish.
