Fishing is the most affordable way to get food. On the one hand, fish is a higher-calorie product than most plant-based products. On the other hand, getting fish is much easier than playing on land. If you have a plastic bottle lying around, a piece of fishing line or wire and a little rope, then you can make a simple trap for fish.
The simplest traps for fish, a home-made trap for fish from a bottle with your own hands when surviving in extreme conditions.
The neck of a plastic bottle is cut off and inserted upside down into the remaining glass. Holes are punched along the edges and the whole structure is fixed, in our case, with a fishing line. The output ends of the fishing line are not cut, of them you need to make a large loop, which is needed to install and fix this simple trap for fish. A rope is attached to the bottom of the trap, and holes are pierced on the sides for faster filling of the trap with water.
Inside the trap lies bait. For example, breadcrumbs, right there caught some kind of living creature, or at the very least something not edible, but very shiny.
We set up such a fish trap in water and fix it with a long stick or manually, bringing it to the required depth. Better to set against or slightly diagonally to the stream, strengthening the trap at the bottom with pegs threaded through a loop of fishing line and safety rope.
Having set a fish trap, we sit down on the shore and meditate, or just wait while admiring the beauties of nature. As a rule, after about 20 minutes, checking the trap, you can already find one and several small fish in it. Here’s how in our case a small six-centimeter fish. The performance of such a trap, depending on various weather conditions and the water temperature of 4-6 similar fish per hour.
Small fish 5 cm or less in length can not be cleaned, but eat whole. 6-8 such fish is enough to cook a hearty fish soup for one or use as bait for catching larger fish. Despite the very simple construction, the value of such a trap for fish lies in its constant catchability. In the most adverse conditions, it can be 2-3 small fish per day, but you will not be left without food anyway.
